Scott Baluha joined the firm as an associate in 2016. His courtroom and writing experience, and his pleasant demeanor in the face of conflict, make him a valuable addition and we find that our clients enjoy working with him.
Scott graduated from Alfred University in New York with a BA in 1999 and from Phoenix School of Law with a JD in 2012. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in January of 2013 and is also licensed to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
His prior legal experience focused on retail and commercial collections for a statewide collections firm and a multi-state collections firm. He represented clients in all aspects of creditors’ rights including garnishments, collections, executions and negotiations. His experience includes representing national banks, landlords, and small business owners.
Scott is skilled in litigation matters and has appeared in numerous trials, oral arguments and other hearings. His experience as a litigator in conjunction with his time as a business owner and insurance professional give him a distinctive advantage to assist landlords with their needs.
Since joining the firm Scott has been involved with evictions including trials. He has also taken on the important function of handling repossessions of mobile and manufactured homes when court action is necessary. This is a growing area of our practice.
