MWW MikeMike is a 1967 graduate of the Tulane University School of Law. Following seven years in a senior federal position in Washington, DC, he moved to Arizona and has practiced law with a concentration in manufactured home communities and fair housing law.  He was legal counsel to Manufactured Housing Communities of Arizona, the mobile home parks industry association from 1987 to 2016, being succeeded  by Melissa Parham.

Mike has been a member of the firm since 2010. In 2016 he cut his workload back to focus on certain limited areas. He continues to provide assistance to the firm’s manufactured housing community and related clients. He provides support and assistance to other members of the firm in his areas of expertise. He also handles certain public policy assignments on behalf of rental housing industry organizations. And he is responsible for the firm’s growing involvement in acquisition and financing of rental housing communities.

Mike has written twelve publications for MHCA including rental and management forms and textbooks on how the various laws affecting the industry apply.  He has regularly written articles in the MHCA Today and Tomorrow magazine and co-authored a weekly landlord tenant Q & A column in the Arizona Republic.  Mike is also a Registered Authorized Lobbyist for MHCA.  Over the course of his practice, he has been actively involved in drafting many of Arizona’s current landlord tenant laws and court rules for evictions.

Mike is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit; U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; U.S. Tax Court; U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.  He has filed briefs with the U.S. Supreme Court in two property rights cases appealed from the Ninth Circuit.
